What To Bring To Camp

LABEL CLOTHING

Although not required, we recommend clothing and equipment be labeled with your family name.

Campers are encouraged to keep track of their items.

 

CHARITY

We will hold forgotten items for one week.  Owner may pick them up, or we will mail them at the owner's expense.  Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.

WEATHER

Keep an eye on the weather forecast -  some cool-weather and rain gear are also recommended in July.

THAT WAS MY FAVORITE.....

You may consider not bringing expensive or favorite clothing/items that you wouldn't want damaged.

What To Bring

  • Bed linens or washable sleeping bag

  • Pillow/case

  • Bath/face towels

  • Toiletries

    • toothbrush/paste;

    • deodorant;

    • soap/shampoo.

  • Comb/brush

  • Bible

  • Pencils/pens

  • Notepad

  • Water bottle

  • Flashlight (extra batteries)

  • Waterproof rain gear​

    • ​recommend coated nylon or PVC-coated waterproof (not repellent) â€‹

  • Footwear - must be closed toes

    • sneakers, hiking boots​

  • Polo / summer shirts, T's

  • Underwear / T-shirts

  • Athletic socks 

  • Jeans or rugged pants

  • Swim trunks

  • Pajamas

  • Sweatshirt and sweatpants

  • Sweater or warm fleece pullover

  • Light windbreaker-type jacket

  • Sunscreen/lip balm/sunglasses

  • Laundry bag

  • Insect repellent/after-bite stick

  • Backpack or day-pack for hikes

What NOT To Bring

  • Open Toe Footwear

    • including closed toe sports sandals​

 

  • Electronic devices such as radios, electronic games, gadgets, etc.

  • Cell phones, iPads, Kindles are strongly discouraged during meetings and meals. 

​​

  • We recommend only the father bring his cell phone for communication and/or emergency use.

​

  • We encourage a media-free camp as much as possible.
